Can I park near to the departure point?

We do encourage you to use Public Transport however if you do choose to drive please be aware that there are limited options available.  There is the Cornwall Road multi-storey car park near-by, subject to spaces and charges.  There is a limited number of spaces for Blue Badge holders.  Please note that we are within the Congestion Charge Zone. For more information, please see the TFL website, www.tfl.gov.uk

What is your Access Statement?

We aim to provide tours that are accessible and enjoyable for people of all abilities.

We are in a unique position as DUKWs started life as army landing vehicles and ours have been adapted to meet stringent regulations laid out by land and river Regulatory Authorities. This means that there are an unavoidable five steps up to the passenger compartment.  Passengers will be required to leave their wheelchairs to board, however there are support handrails and non-slip surfaces to walk on.

Due to limited space, wheelchairs cannot be taken on board but can be left with our departure point representative.

Please note that for operational reasons we may ask you to transfer onto another Duck at the slipway before entry into the river.

Assistance dogs (including guide dogs and hearing dogs) are welcome but must be allocated a seat on board (free of charge) so please call our booking office on 020 7928 3132 to arrange this.  Our tours are very popular at peak times so, as per the advice we give to all our cusotmers, we suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you have any further queries please give us a call on 020 7928 3132 (option 3) or email enquiries@londonducktours.co.uk

They must be allocated a seat onboard (free of charge) so please call our booking office on 020 7928 3132 to arrange this. We highly recommend booking in advance if you would like to use this service.

Do you travel in all weathers?

We aim to travel in all weathers but we may need to cancel/postpone tours if there are high winds, heavy snow or thick fog. The decision whether to run a tour in very bad weather is made at the company’s discretion. We will try our best to inform you of any changes prior to your arrival at our Duck Stop.  If we do have to cancel a tour, you can either rebook for another day or receive a voucher valid for a year.

What is the likelihood of a route change?

London is a vibrant city with an outstanding reputation for hosting many world class events throughout the year.  Inevitably this means that, occasionally, we will need to change the advertised route to accommodate the road closures and diversions which are key to the successful delivery of these events.  If road conditions, either prior to or during a tour, prevent us from operating the tour as advertised we will substitute the best available alternative route. London Duck Tours Limited reserves the right to cancel or alter arrangements. We will use reasonable endeavours to inform you of any route changes in advance, but sometimes road closures or other events can happen with little or no notice. If passengers are unhappy with taking the proposed alternative route during a planned diversion, subject to availability, passengers can change date or time of the tour, receive a gift voucher or claim a full refund of the price paid only if arranged prior to the tour commencing.

Does the vehicle have a roof?

Yes, each Duck has a roof and roll down windows.

It can get chilly on the river even in summer and we recommend that you bring an item of warm clothing for this part of the tour.

Do I need any special clothing?

The great British weather can be fickle so we strongly recommend you come prepared with suitable clothing.  It can get chilly on the river even in summer and we recommend that you bring an item of warm clothing for this part of the tour.

Do I get wet?

You should not get wet but sometimes with a high tide and high winds you may experience some water spray off the Thames.

Are there refreshments on board?

No, we do not permit food or drink on the vehicle.
